Ex-BBC and ITV Producer Steve Timmins Uses Crowdfunding to Raise Funds for Bristol Based Campaign Group, Protect Our NHS
Local filmmaker Steve Timmins is raising funds to film and edit a short documentary film about the issues surrounding the alleged privatization and sell off of the NHS. He had decided to use local Bristol based crowdfunding platform Fundsurfer to launch his campaign.

Recent events in Bristol have seen local groups taking a lead in asking key questions about the most damaging effects of the coalition government’s 2012 Health and Social Welfare Act and taking legal action to secure public and patient involvement in health care commissioning. As a documentary filmmaker with 30 years experience Steve wanted to draw focus and attention to a health care policy he believed is being imposed by an un-mandated government on an unsuspecting public.

Producer Steve Timmins said:
“If we fail, people across England will not be offered the care they need, the care they deserve, the care they’ve paid their taxes to receive. We’ll be sending copies of this film to politicians to see if their consciences can be still be pricked before it’s too late and to journalists, as so few of them have noticed what is going on, yet alone what has gone wrong. I would love for local people who care about the NHS to visit our project page and consider making a pledge to help get this film made”.
